…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

As part of its activities, Canada’s Smart Grid Innovation Group (SGIG) led a project in collaboration with ResearchNB (RNB), the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Clean Energy Connections (CEC) and the North Shore Mi’kmaq Tribal Council (NSMTC). This project took the form of a series of engagement and listening workshops.

After reviewing numerous surveys, studies and reports, we were able to identify key themes that pose challenges to clean energy deployment. We now want to reach out to as many New Brunswickers as possible to get their thoughts on how to overcome these barriers.

The themes chosen are as follows:

  1. Communication and collaboration
  2. Transparency and trust
  3. Understanding how energy drives economic growth
  4. Attraction and retention of labor force

We are currently connecting individuals and groups from across the province to hear their ideas on how we can shape the energy transition and gain more visibility into future energy strategies.

We are pleased to invite you to a (free) clean energy listening session, which will be held in Edmundston on February 18 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
