Experience in smart energy:

• Innovation in Smart Grid: an advanced-demand response initiative using artificial intelligence to predict monthly peaks and optimize the list of distributed energy resources (residential, commercial) to optimize supply and demand.
• Renewable energies and Storage: a) the development of a planned 42 MW wind energy production facility early 2022; b) Solar Demonstration Project for a Future Community Solar Initiative and c) deployed the world’s first commercially installed Tesla Megapack storage system in 2019 and is currently expanding on it.
• Electrification: SJE also has a growing product rental business, as more than 60% of its electricity customers also rent at least one additional product (hot water tank, heat pump, street light, etc.). SJE is looking to expand this bundle to include EV charging, street light sensors, etc…
• Collaboration Centre: SJE is exploring how to support the entrepreneurial and academic ecosystem through the establishment of a digital twin of the utilities data sets.
